Every people throughout the world know about Bhagavad-Gita. The Bhagavad-Gita or Gita as it is popularly known is a portion of the Mahabharata. Gita discusses several ways of self realization. It is the most commented work and is the source of conflicting schools of thought. Anasakti-yoga or doing ones duty without any desire for reward is considered to be the essence of teachings of Shri Krishna. A man is concerned with his duty and not with its reward. Man must not shirk from his duty. At the same time he must gain knowledge and do his duty in selfless way. Bhagavad Gita says “Knowledge and duty together bring success and prosperity.”

Siva is the Omnipotent God without form; the Sivalinga is the nearest manifestation of his formlessness as the unknown Deity. The Gods Brahma and Vishnu attempted to discover the top and bottom extremities of this column but failed.

God Siva and Parvati marriages in all temples of India symbolize the most ancient sacred type of marriages. Even to-day singing of Siva’s marriage [Gowri Kalyanam] verse is a must in all auspicious occasions all over India.
